The Trespasser by Tana French
I’m back, baby! Back reading books beyond light romcoms, that is, which was all I was reading during the first three years (!!!!) of our new Covid-19 era. I’ve loved Tana French since her debut, IN THE WOODS (fantastic!), and I’ve made it through THE rest of her Dublin Squard series: THE LIKENESS (the only one I’m a little iffy on, purely because the set-up is too hard to believe), FAITHFUL PLACE, BROKEN HARBOR, and THE SECRET PLACE.
Then I stopped reading just about everything, but I’m so glad I tried again. THE TRESPASSER is such an excellent read, so thoughtful and page-turn-y and well-written. And for fans of THE SECRET PLACE, it reunites detectives Stephen Moran and Antoinette Conway.
New to French? Start with IN THE WOODS. You won’t be sorry.
