Bad Therapy: Why the Kids Aren’t Growing Up
I was curious about this book after reading an excerpt (somewhere) and went in with an open mind.
I am halfway through, but so far, I think author Abigail Shrier has some really interesting points to make, but wants so badly to have her thesis be 100% supported that she seems to be ignoring all sorts of nuance. There is a little too much “back in my day, we went to school and we liked it,” and hammering home how ridiculous it all is. But was “back in my day” all that great? I’m glad I’m actually reading this for myself, but thought it was going to be a broader, and more expansive take on the challenges young people are facing today.
